I have a couple of questions for you guys:
1. Does 1/2" ID fittings really do much of a difference, and can you post results between the two fittings?
2. Does water flow really make a big difference?

Anyone with experience of testing the two, or trying all of these tests. Please no theories, I just want real world stats, I know that real world stats can be a major variable, but I want to know if their are a 1C or better temperature difference with 1/2" ID fittings and water flow at the perfect rate you have tested. I have some valves in my loop I can try to mess with to lower flow rate if this is the case. :D

I would like to get some sort of inline flow indicator, can anyone recommend one? Only reputable companies please

:D

there was a post a little while ago where someone noted that since you are dealing with the cross-sectional area of the tubing, and the 1/2 inch tubing has nearly twice the cross-sectional area (.19 to .11 if my memory is right) it's really a lot better. i had doubts about, but once i thought of that, i mean, there's really no question.

But has anyone had a 1C or better with 1/2" ID over 3/8" ID? :D

1/2" tubing has a CSA of pi*.25^2 which is 0.196 sq. in.
2/8" tubing has a CSA of pi*.1875^2 which is 0.110 sq. in.
So the difference is fairly large - 78%.

As for inline flow indicators I have looked but am yet to find any that are cost effective - typical prices £250+ (that's $375US).

dtek customs has an inline pressure indicator, but not a flow indicator.
