Hello
After trying to get a few more mhz out of my celly 1 ghz my bios setup screen has turned into a grey box ( where the settings are supposed to be ) with nothing in it and the mach wont boot ,
any ideas what may be doing this

I agree with Drdingo...if you cannot find the jumper to clear the cmos, then remove the battery from the motherboard, and wait for a half hr, and put the battery back and you should be able to get into the setup prog.
The half hour is a gestimate..I'm not sure how long it takes to dissipate the energy in the cmos, but you get the idea.
If you are unsure how to reset the cmos and if you have it handy, look in your manual for a jumper to "clear" the cmos..sometimes reffered to as the "bios".
In most cases all u need to do is take the jumper from where it is, and move it over to the connection to one side or the other,and put it back. Ten seconds is long enough to clear even the toughest bios.
Just remember to put the jumper back where it was...and oh yea do this with the computer turned off, and unplugged.

Clear your bios yes...
I think the clear cmos and wait 1/2 half to 1 hour and putting the battery back in and stuff will work.. Seems like some cmos corruptioon..
