I know for damn sure the geforce 3 isnt comparing anything to visual quality between these two cards

Actually the GF3 is right up there with the Radeon, the GF2 may have had problems. IQ is dependant on so many factors anyway it's difficult to make any decent sort of comparison. Anyway the Matrox cards have the absolute best IQ IMO.
