I think you have misunderstood something. Im pretty sure the processor you have is a Athlon XP 1500+. This does not mean it runs at 1.5 ghz. It means that at 1.33 ghz, it AS fast as a comparable 1.5 ghz. These XP processores are locked at the factory. There are ways to unlock it but you just got to read around these boards as people ask how to unlock it every day. Hope this clears up somethings.

The specification, XP1500+, is a model number, and not a speed. The 1500+ is a 1.33ghz - but has the equivalent performance rating to the Intel P4 of 1.5ghz. To overclock the XP, without doing the unlock tricks, just increase your fsb small amounts at a time. When OCing via fsb increases, make sure that you have quality PCI cards, AGP video card, and memory.

Is your cpu a XP or MP? Either way a 1500+ is actually a 1.33.
The only difference is some say the MP is unlocked.
The problem is your board can only be OCed by increasing the front side bus.
