Just kinda started clocking it. I cant figure out what timings im gonna need to use for my teamgroup its really unstable, when i use 4-4-4-8 @ 400mhz.. But im currently at 3200mhz. When i goto bed, im gonna prime it for a while. SO screenies will be coming soon enough ;)

well try 4-4-4-10/12 as that should fix the ram problems.

Ahh did that, Fails superpi 32mb. And prime almost instantly. :bang head and its at 2.3v. Did i just get an unlucky set?
Thanks.

Only 300mhz on the memory tho. Since i put it to 400, i cant pass superpi 32mb or prime.

Try the Vdimm there raited for.. like 1.9V they might be getting too hot.
If not.. there not clocking what there rated you need to get ahold of Team or the retailer.

Im pretty sure they are rated for 2.2v. Ill mess with some stock speeds sometime today.

Oh and should i also give memtest a try? I havent ever really used it before. How do you run it without a floppy? And what tests to run. Alls im running is the test on prime for memory stressing.
Thanks again.

They have a CD .iso now that you can download and run instead of a floppy.

have you turned off hyperpath3 and dram throttling in the bios? that may help you get your memory higher if you havent turned those off already.

Just because they are rated for high volts doesnt mean they will take those volts at slower speeds. for instance my c4's are rated for ddr2-800 4-4-4-12 @2.1v EPP, now if i want to run a slower speed. I can not use 2.1v as i get errors in memtest and windows. I had to drop down to 1.9v with 4-4-4-12 using either the 533 or 667 ratios.

You could use memtest to isolate testing of the memory. But if changing just the memory settings makes prime go from ok to fail so the CPU isn't the cause then it's got to be the memory...memtest would show this but it's redundant imo.

P5W DH does not want to run 400MHz FSB 1:1 much higher then DDR-800 on my board. I have no idea why.
I even tried a different pair of PC6400 and the machine would not even post 1:1 DDR800.

what other pair have you tried? i kinda thinkg about this board now or possibly the dfi since both can do 400mhz. the lack of bios updates from abit to help fix ram and ocing problems is starting to bother men.
