Okay so basically a while ago i bios volt modded my AGP xfx 6800GT to 1.4 volts, and now im getting artifacts even in 2d like on the desktop and stuff. I tried to backup the cards bios so i could modify it back to 1.3 volts, but on the omniextreme program, there is no choice for 1.3 volts! there is only 1.1, 1.4, 1.4, and 1.5!? what happened to my 1.3 option? how can i get a version of bios that will get my card back to normal? i dont know what happened to the original bios back up from my card. is there a way i can download a new one that will be the same?

Here is the BIOS from mine, XFX 6800GT AGP. I have not changed anything, it is 100% factory original. I used NiBiTor.v2.9a to read and save the BIOS. Hope it works.

ugh what the hell. im still getting a ton of artifacts in 2D, but atleast its not crashing and i can actually play games now. what do you guys think? do you think i maybe fried my chip a little bit with the volt mod and it will always be ****ed up?

It's a distinct possibility that you damaged something, and that would be permanent.

rest in peace one of the great 6800GT's i am sorry to hear about it.. ( i am prolly jumping the gun.. ) but sounds like it may be on its way to see the other vid cards in the big sky...

simple solution... buy a new gfx card... and please not a ****ty XFX one

You should have backed up the original bios somewhere... i keep a floppy of a windows 98 startup dos disk and nvflash with original bios taped to an old PCI Matrox gfx card stuffed away in a safe place just in case of such a thing... BUT i dont think a .1v volt mod should have done n e thing unless you were allowing temps to get out of hand... i have a .1v volt mod on my 6600gt for the past 6 months and she has ran just fine. BUT i do have a P4 hs on it
