does anyone know of an easy way, software program perhaps, to find and delete old driver files? i've been installing and deleting various voodoo 5500 drivers to test them out and it seems to be effecting performance.

The reason that I asked is that a rollback with ME or XP is easy with Restore. There might be a commercial rollback program that will configure the drivers but I am not sure!

See if you can remove your device from the manager and Win 98 most likely won't detect that card and make you pick the drivers.. see if that makes any difference.

You could uninstall the drivers in "Device Manager" then use RegCleaner to remove the Registry entries. I tend to use this program to tidy up anything that I uninstall. Hope it helps. RegCleaner (http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/shtml/regcleaner.shtml)

Since no one else has commented here, I would consider trying Go Back. And before I bought it I would ask their tech assistance people for help in determining just how much of the computer info is stored and rolled back.
