DSL going in and out

recently I have had problems with my DSL (westell versalink 327w) going in and out. Ill be browsing internet or playing FFXI and the light for internet will just dissapear and I will be kicked off for about 10-15 seconds and it will come back, usually. Stometimes it goes off for a good 2-3 min before comming back on itself.

Log tells me
LAN PC unable to communicate with DNS Server.(error = 'connection timed out', count=3

Is it something to do with bad cables, bad dsl, or can it be the modem?

Have you had the DSL working fine for a while and just now this started to happen? Something similar happened to my dad's work - got DSL worked fine, but then switched to a static IP. The new modem was bad so the company came back out to switch it. If this is a recent thing, make the company come out and take a look. You are paying for their support anyway.

Just call your company.... The chances are that its their fault or modems fault, and you are paying to have a normal connection anyway.

Yes, it was working fine for a good 5-6 months and this just started happening a few days ago. Its been setup on a static IP for about 3 months. This is also the 4th replacment of the modem from the DSL company. Everytime you call them they just send a new one out. however, they dont upgrade the modem. I just thought if I am 100% sure its a modem, I dont mind buying my own if I can keep a stable connection.
