What happened to the thread regarding this? I wanted to mention that I recieved an email saying there were more slots available in the beta starting today. Signed up for 1 month of fileplanet for $7 and got Cdkey and download immediatly! :beer:

It had to of gotten locked/removed, probably over NDA stuff. I checked it yesterday and it vanished lol.
You payed 7 dollars just to play a pre alpha game? (that's what an EA "beta" actually is).

Yep. Its fun as heck!
lol what is it like? tell us about it, maybe a review or something
i dont think he can :( he had to agree to something that he wouldnt disclose the contents of the game or whatnot or he'll be tracked down! but we'll find out in like a week or two when the open beta comes out.

i have the closed beta, and i can comment as i please.
i have played bf2 for around 600hrs and was even unbeaten in TWL ladders for the clan i was in. but, when i got WOW i stopped playing bf2 cos its better and i got fed up with vehicle rapin and bunnyhopping. when 2142 was released i downloaded it straight away hoping that it would be better and would have non of the problems that bf2 had.
how wrong was i. as soon as i spawned i got killed by a tank. then again, and again. spawned somewhere else as the class with rocket launcher, blew a tank up with 2 shots (bonus) then got ran over by a jeep lol. i can honestly say that its basically bf2 with different vehicles and weapons. it plays the same, looks slightly better (i ran it on max res and max graphics and got average of 70fps) but overall, i think bf2 is better. im sure ill play again, and maybe itll be differnet. but in the mean time, WOW calls :)
