all of a sudden my pc did not want to turn on, it took like 10 goes of switching it off at the power plugging it all back in and it would go sometimes. Anyways have narrowd it down to the hard drives. If i plug them in to the power not even to the motherboard the computer will switch off after like 2 seconds, unplugg the drives and i can at least get to bios.
The drives are 2xWd 36gb Raptors running in raid 0
M/b p4pe 800
any help appreciated plugged in an old ide hdd and it works fine

maybe it is something with the psu. Are the power connectors just molex to sata power? Or are they the sata power connectors that come on the PSU?
sounds like iether a hard drvie is shorting out the psu (maybe its touching something it shouldnt be) or yor psu is too weak to handle the load you're putting on it

Also, make sure you aren't using both.

Check your rails ( check my sig if you don't know how ). It definitely sound like a psu issue.
