couple different companies have those out now. I can see the advantage but not the use vs. price.

That's pretty cool. I'm wondering if it interfaces with the main PSU somehow such that it automatically turns on when the system is powered on. Otherwise, one would have to turn on two different power sources to start the computer, right? I'm not sure how multi-PSU systems work in this regard.

it actually interfaces with the main ATX connector on the mobo...

if you look there is a plug with the green, pruple, and ground.... the green is a signal from the motherboard to turn on the power supply.. this is how you turn a psu on without a mobo is to short out the green wire and aground... dunno what the purple is there for but thats how it works...
its an intresting but its a little redundant... considering my seasonic S12-600 has 2 12v rails rated at 216watts a piece... i have a total of 432watts of 12v power.... for like $150... and pluss ITS NOT A THERMALTAKE
and its quiet... i dont see how that thing can be quiet with a 5500rpm fan in it

Well it got great reviews
Dual rails is pointless... 3 yes, 4 yes. 2 no good. I have a single rail @ 34 Amps... A CPU will never use 19AMPS ever! So why have two 12v rails @ 19AMPS each? pointless and a waste of power.

It is just that no single rail is "allowed" to carry more than a certain amount of power, as specified by the standard. So no power is being "wasted".

You're partialy correct... True dual rail PS, have two seperate voltage regulators.
it sure looks (as in aesthetics) better than the FSP one.

For 50 bucks, why not? It will take the load off my more expensive PS.
