Just got my koolance today! :) Heres some pics....i'll post more as i go....and some temp readings once its all leak-proof
2 (tilt your head sideways ;))
got the coolers crimped (easy as pie...tho my wire cutter was a little small for the job)
and heres the front bezel

and just incase you get the urge http://www.virtual-hideout.net/cool_case/page208.shtml here is a modded one, nice
yup i'm glad to see they made an amendment to their warranty. any mods that don't directly influence their cooling system don't void the warranty...
i think around december/jan i'll pick up a window (or a clear case cover...which koolance is offering soon) and a cathode
i'd like to add some bioluminent material to the water...but first i need to find out how this intermixes with the koolance chemical additives...

yeah i'm assuming the fan he has in bottom front is intake....theres a fan hole in the back for a 80mm (i think) but theres really not much room in the front
i've been thinking about just taking out the bottom two bays and ducting a fan mounted on the outside
heres another mod of the koolance (tho this is the old version)

Thinking about getting a Koolance myself the cheapest I have found so far is $199.00 . Where did you get yours from? Is that about what you paid?
You can get them from several places
go to www.koolance.com and you can find out where to buy them
Be advised the 199.00 is the price for the unit WITHOUT a power supply.

more pics! :)
18C?!!?!?!? NICE TEMP!!! LOL ;)
those native americans make great overclockin water, don't they? :D
heres the CPU waterblock...got most of the bubbles out...

Kandiyohi= Water from the city of Willmar, distilled, and with minerals added for taste...
I know, I grew up 30 miles south of said water factory...
Or, in the case of distilled water, no minerals. But still, city water.

thoses thin tubes may be a problem though, i would like to see how it would perform with 3/8 inch tubing or 1/2 inch.
just got everything setup finally....HURRAH!!!!
one problem tho... :(....my mobo block and clip....only came with one screw...and these are specialized screws....i managed to get it on tight thru other means...but this was sorta dissapointing ...
well some other minor problems too...but those were my fault ;)
i clocked the speed down to stock (1.4 or 10.5X133) and we'll see what temp the mobo stops at
CPU bios temp 29 and rising
water temp is 22
wow its so amazing to boot up and see 20C on there after loading windows.... :D
ok its leveled off now (i think) after folding proteins a bit....
1.4g athlon tbird
CPU (bios) 35C
Mobo/ambient (bios) 23C
Koolance Liquid Temp: 25C
hehe that is schaweeeet!!!
overclockin time! :)
ok!
1.4 tbird @ 1.5 even now (10.5X143)
v-core 1.8
CPU (bios) 36
Mobo/ambient (bios) 23
Koolance liquid temp: 26

Am I missing something here? I idle at 33-36 and run 39-41 on any burn in program I've used. I'm all air. I just don't see the point of dealing with the water for 4-5 degrees. Don't flame me but a good air system will be almost as good as a good h2o set-up.

Air setup can be extreamly effective even more effective
than wills temps, but the noise factor and just plain fun
assembling it, not to mention bragging rights just makes you
want wattercooling. Also wattercooling can handel much
more heat than air can. Thus with the newer high heat chips
wattercooling can play a big role!
- Will, i am glad to see you with such a beautiful case!

yup thats one of the main reasons i got a watercooling setup(the noise)....i was also wanted something that i could EASILY carry with me to a LAN party or to a friends house
i knew that if i did it myself i'd have the usual wires from every direction....a resovior the size of a 80 gallon trash bin....and obviously...not very mobile ;)
only quarrels i have now are with my PS and harddrive...while before they could hardly be heard....now it seems they give me a headache compared to the koolance
it looks like my RAM won't be going any higher than 145....:( i'll have to buy some in the next few weeks....i got my eyes on 2 sticks of 256 crucial ;)
all other components seem to be fairing quite well, tho....wish i hadn't bought this icky cheap ram (quality before quanity....DOH...this was back when i was a little less informed about such things)
only thing i DON'T like about this case is its HEAVVVVVY...wow!....i guess i was just too used to the plastic piece of crap i had before with lots of holes drilled in it ....i think it weights around 25+ pounds....dun know what with components...i guess its fairly comparable to a lot of solid aluminum cases...if not even less
How about adding a powerful peltier now :)
updated specs...raised v-core and cranked the koolance to 100%
water temp: 25
v-core: 1.85
CPU temp: 26
ambient: 22
still 1.4 tbird @ 1.5 (10.5X143)
ok i got bored....so i started taking more pictures for the heck of it...this is my old setup....
oh...can u say ghetto? :p
ok heres new setup
still have that ol 120mm over the PCI....gf2 is pretty schrunched in there....needs a little extra cooling so i can overclock it....would have a waterblock for it i figured i didn't REALLY need it....
need to borrow my friends dremel soon so i can mount that bugger on the case....although i really do like being able to see the inside of my case...need that case window soon!

What about sticking a fan in the back and one in the front
if there is a spot? Did you forget everything elts that you didn't
wattercool?
I see you have a fan blowing in, but thats not enough.
It does not look like the correct size either. Do you need mounting
screws? There are many places now that sell them.

That fan is more than enough for just pci/agp cards, not like they put out much heat really.
You only need lots of case airflow for aircooled cpus really, before athlons a lot of cases ran fine with just a psu and cpu fan.
well, insted of having that horrible looking fan,
why not purchase one of those dual fan things
that are desighned tor it and mount right on the
bus screws.

They come in 80 and 60mm as well!

bigger fans are quieter and when mounted in a blowhole it'll look fine.

no room in the front....i already tried fitting a 80mm....no go
other than the pci cards i really only need enough airflow to keep ambient temps down...which isn't too hard...
as far as the blowhole...i think i might made one in bottom center...and yes i have a 80mm fan that i'm going to mount on the back...but without a blow hole it won't really do much good...

depending on how well my ambient temps are after i go ahead with the blow hole i might look into one of these...
