Ok, I just emailed my mom and told her to order me a Eheim 1250 Pump. Was this a good selection and do i need a reservoir, or does my pump act as one?

I'd build one. im sure I could find a way to fuse lexan to be water tight or something. or just use pvc like other people. all a reservior is is a little sealed bucked with an in hole and an out hole.

I kinda like the external idea. Why would one want the internal pump? does it boost performance or anything? I would think the system would be easier to troubleshoot being external.
