The vid card is a good bang for the buck if you have a low budget system. What mobo/CPU combo will the RAM go into?
E6600

Get an X1800XT for $200 range, much better.
The ram is great. Ah, spend the few extra and get a 250 or 320 gb HD. Your loosing a huge amount of space for a few dollars. Plus that drive is the older model. I actually have 2 of them, there not bad just eventually to small.

Well now with an extra 60 bucks here, and a few dollars there you've got him about a hundred bucks over budget. Not to mention that the X1800XT consumes more power than the 7600GT (and probably produces more heat). So might as well throw in another power supply too. And hell... while we're at it... some phase cooling :)
But based on the parts he asked about, they all look fine to me. I'm particularly impressed by the lifetime warranty on the video card. I've never heard of such a thing...

If you are a gamer, i would totally pass on the E6600 and go with a E6400 or E6300 and spend the extra on better video. It will have a much better noticable difference in games. These Allendale/Conroe chips are so fast at any resolution greater then 1024x768 your money is better spent on better VGA

I don't remember seeing him mention his budget or his power supply. He asked if that stuff was good. I gave him a viable alternative in a close price range that will perform better. I didn't make asumptions on how much money he has to spend.
And yeah, the x8500XT is a better choice I think to. Performance's are very close, and price is much better for the XT.

Well I'm just saying... it's sort of a bad habit on this board people have with the "for an extra X amount of dollars" thing.
I mean a close price range is 5 or ten bucks. You're talking about SIXTY bucks. That's not a close price range. Another 60 bucks above the card you mentioned would put us in ANOTHER price range.
I want to third the X850XT... but it takes up two slots (if that's an issue) and consumes slightly more power. Once again we don't know your power supply or anything.
Then again I'm slightly biased towards NVIDIA products so take that with a grain of salt. If I could get the X850XT brand new for that price, I'd probably get it.
