7800gt voltmod

i have done the voltmod just now. got my core up to 520! and havent tested memory yet. though a 500 it starts to give artifacts with me(67c temp)

i gotta get me a good cooler for it to really work.

anyone else done the vmod?

What where you hitting before? I went to frys yesterday and was browsing through CPU mag's sept issue and they volt modded the 7800gt, after they did the 7900gt in the august issue, and sadly they couldnt really get much out of it.

They ended up testing it stock at 400/500, stock overclocked at like 480/550, and then volt modded with a accelero x1 and hit like 505/550. I'm just rattling these off of the top of my head as I only read the article and dont have the magazine, but I did read the whole tidbit on it.

well i could do 485/1100 , but got me artifacts. also couldnt go higher. with the vmod i suprisingly got less artifacts and got it up to 520/1200 (with artifacts though)

should buy an nv silencer but dont have money now.
