Ok, I just realised a flaw on a hard drive I reformatted about 8 months back........It's a 200 gig WD Caviar, SATA....and I never ran the Western Digital drive utilities before the Windows install......so Windows being the smart OS it is, sees it only as a 127 gig drive.....

I don't think I can even do this, but is there a way to resize the drive image WITHOUT having to completely wipe the drive and start over? I finally got the dang rig running the way I want, n really don't want to format if I don't have to. But I also need the missing 50 gigs.

do you have SP2 installed (assuming you are running XP)?

Partition Magic - it works, but I hate using it.

Instead, try ghosting the disk to an image. When restoring to the disk from th image, Ghost will give you an option to resize the drives.

I have that prog, have never used it though....always thought it just made an exact copy of a drives image for restoration? Wouldn't that mean I would have the same 127 gig partition, and then a seperate 50 or whatever gig partition added on?
