4800+ & 7800GT's SLI, 3dmark06 only 5500?

This doesnt seem right... I ran 3dmark06 with my setup, same as sig but with a 4800 at 2.8 right now, and only got 5500 in 3dmark06. My FPS was alywas <20, but with 3dmark05 they were always above 40. Does this score seem right to you?

No, it does not. With my set-up (see sig) i got 7009 in '06.

What drivers are you running?

91.31 off of nvidias website. Should i try a modified driver?

I have never run '06 with 91.xx

Try 84.21 and see what your results are.

You will deffenatly get a higher score with 84xx drivers, but you will also lose image quality. It couldnt be your PSU, I saw a display at my local PC store running 2 7950's on the same PSU.


What settings is 06 on? Your hardly getting 1000 more than me when i run 06 at 1280x1024, so there is defenatly somthing wrong.

with my single core @ 2.7 i get 59XX. from what ive seen if i had dual core i could get roughly 1000 more points ...

I just tested mine and got 3606 on 3dmark06. I got Opty 175, 2gigs of OCZ performance, EVGA 7800 GT OC, OCZ Powerstream 520. Everything unclocked. I got a RMa on the card. It was glitches and making my comp freeze and then the next day it works fine, although I don't know if my score is where it should be.
