i will be upgrading from my backup chip to a 1.2tbird and was wondering if it will hotter than my 800mhz duron is?? its overclocked at 1.0 @ 1.75 v in the bios but MBM says 1.85v whatever... my heatsink would be a sk6 with the ytech fan.. should i expect an increase of temperature or decrease... i do plan on overclocking but slowly...

tbird takes more power and produces more heat.

trust mbm, it's probably more accurate than the bios selector.
a duron at 1.0/1.85 is 60W of heat.
a tbird at 1.2/1.75 (stock) is 61.7W of heat
Both figures from radiate. So yes the tbird is hotter and if you start overclocking it'll get MUCH hotter.

the Tbird

but MBM says 1.85v whatever
TRUST THE MOTHERBOARD!!!!
That figure of 1.85 if proboably right.
unless you have a pc power & cooling power supply
and upgraded regulators on the motherboard!
