is this drive any good? i can get one for something like $59 or $69 now, and wanted to know if its worth it. i know there will be sales tomorrow and friday, but unfortunatey most stores ith the sales arent near me at all :-(

I have had generally good luck with those off-name cd drives. Sure, it isn't the best, but man are they cheap. I have bought I/O Magic a couple of times, and some others like the one you mentioned just for the price.

If you want quality, go for a Yamaha. If you want a good deal and good-enough performance, buy it...:beer:

good point. also, i have a plextor 8x in my comp, this was going to my second computer probably, so as long as it can burn stuff thats fine. i can always use my 8x if there is something this one refuses to do.
