Olllllllllllllllddddddddddddddddddd....
Its just extreme air cooling really and a case mod.

Now that is just weird and kind of pointless because air only conducts heat so well.

what? none of us would be cought dead with something like that, more than likely.

i did read the article, and i understand that it was to poke fun at things like that (or so the author claims) but at the same time, i have a "turbo" button, that just happens to be my power switch. many of us have nice cases, but many do not. we run the gamut from nikhsub1 to getthocomp and everywhere inbetween. heck, even ralph hutter (the cablegami god from SPCR) has an account here.

i would have gotten the point more with a CPUZ screenie of a high OC compared to the same chip in a dell.

-but then, that was targeted at the general public joe user with no clearcut perception of a computer worthy of the name fast.
remember - magazines exist to sell ads.

it probably sounds a little elitest, but if we want to see a superfast, supercharged, WOW THATS FAST - P.C. we have to look no further than gutam, or joecamel, or ross.

some stunt that someone spent a bit too much time and money on yeilding sound and fury signifying nothing on does not impress me as an overclocker.

not speaking as an overclocker, i think the paintjob is pretty sweet, i have the same case, and it must have been at least a little fun to build and get working,

but a more effective point could have been made with a plain white-box in some "semi-joe-pc-notable publication" running some sick clocks.

Its a very good job but the cooling is pointless.

ZOMFG

to bad my comuter is faster lmfao

see? thats more like it. :santa:

a fortron PSU, (dual PSU's acually) and watercooling. (even though it looks like a TT pump/rez and gigabyte makes the blue boards, right?) the decompression of gas would get pretty chilly for a little while, and therefore help out the clocks. (it looks very expensive to do -and you might get sick with laughter or suffocate) but at least it would be a touch more practical. and you might have enough time to get a screenie...

melikes!
hehehe.

lol yeah its a thermaltake wc set up but hey it works great for my pc lol.

if fast and ferious has tought us anything its that my computer has a nitrous tank on it and there for its faster than anything lol.

lol just for looks lol.

its one of the 2 tanks i got in my 93 cobra i use for the strip. the first tank sprays 600 and that tank cools the intake.

i just put a brab whare the bust disk went and put a hose on it and put it in lol. i got some extra parts im gonna slap in my case lol "sprayers, purge system ect." im gonna slap in and do a working system.

It might help if it was hooked up the right way... It's set up to suck air from the case instead of blow into it... :bang head

Thats an expensive few cfm right there.... Definatly looks bad ass though.
I wonder what possessed him to take the turbo out of the eclipse for that though. <_<

fireandice

prob. a blowen turbo. we got about 8 of them laying around here. oil line comes off or clogs and the turbo seizes up. you can brake um lose but the damage is done and there not got for anything but a paper weightsince there was so much whare and tear on them. i got thenm when i worked at roush.

i should get a nice motor rip the blower off my mustang and slap that puppy on my computer lol. that should kick out some CFM lol and sound like a Mig is sitting next to me getting ready to take off.

na, he's got it set up right, the pipe goes to the compressor outlet. 3500rpm ain't gona do much for him though, assuming that is a 16g, it can flow 520cfm at 15psi, but you have to spin it at about 145000rpm. Anyone think a delta is loud? It would nicely blow the case appart though.

I'd guess he's replaced the turbo on his car with something bigger, and playing with it because there isn't too much of a market for old 16g's. Just too many around to get much money for them.

Ah crap I'm blind. The inlet and outlet kind of overlap. Yeah it's right lol.

that's just stupid. if it was an oil pump or something, then it would be badass.

The only thing that looks decent is the paint job on the case. And just because it has a nice gloss. :) The pipe going into the case just doesn't look right.

I'm assuming a dry sump?

soon i will start my uber l33t computer.

the cooling will be done by a procharger ps-1 bower by a 10hp electric moter.

it will have exhust pipes hooed to the exhust vent

the whole mobo will be covered in installatin and my spare nitrous system will be used. its 12 volt and when you need some cooling hit the button and the sprayer sprays nitrous all over the cpu heatsink.

wheelie bar. wel it has nitrous and a supercharger so why not?

its gonna need a roll cage on the inside. i got the scrap metal and we need to obay the ihra rules :) so it needs a 12 point roll cage lol

top it off with a badd ass flame paint job

does 0 to pwn in 23sec. "super pi 1m time lmfao"

be a nice project and should make people laugh.

Ehehe... I would worry about where to get the power from... 10 hp sounds like a lot of amperage to me... isn't it like 100amps at least? :P
