I'm curious how far we can go here toward publicly identifying possible or known scam artists. My main concern is individuals, since businesses seem to be pretty much fair game. I only ask because I was almost scammed and have the individual's email, phone number, name, and address (I love that reverse look-up service :)). My anger is telling me to post, but I don't wanna bring anything down on the forums. TIA

Not very, unfortunately. Definitely no names, addresses. And that makes the whole point moot. Liability, that wonderful issue, rears it's lovely head here.

Sorry, but this is something we went thru a while back, and the thread had to be deleted immediately. I wish it were otherwise, as I think a "Scam List" would have a tendency to keep people honest.

Mr B

I can, and will, however, make your other post a "sticky" for a while...;)

Thanks for the info. I figured liability would pop in, but was hoping anyway.

I think that reverse lookup thing could save a lot of headaches. It was enough for me to get my money Paypal'ed back. Not everyone will show up (I don't :)), but if they are listed and the address matches the Paypal info or the mail-to address, then you've pretty much got them by the balls if the deal goes south.

And if anyone knows of any more services like this, please add them to the other post.
