Norton w/ XP

Which antivirus software should i use with xp? Or does it matter. Would this one be ok?:

Yes I believe that'll do but, thats sort of a trial version its going to get annoying with all those pop ups.

Nortons 2001 IS NOT compatible with Win XP....I know cause I had 2001 and I had to upgrade to Nortons 2002 Anti virus

I spoke to Symantec and there is no way to download an upgrade for 2001.

I agree, you need 2002 for XP. I had to scramble for it the day I did my XP install. A friend loaned me 2002 until I bought it.

I already had 2001!

I'm ussing 2002 with no problem at all. I tryied using 2001 but I ended up formating my newly installed winxp :mad: .
Anyway... 2002 works great for me! :D

Norton antivirus SUCKS................period...............it always causes trouble in MS OS....................and it fails other antivirus tests SO BAD.........................i used norton before..........but............not any more.................y?

the scanning is slowwwwwwwwwwwwwww................and the detection is badddddddddddddddddddddddd

i don't know if you notice it...........norton releases its software every year..........................waste of money.............

Symantec products cause a lot of troubles if you are using windows .....................MS technicians told me about.......it.......

I'm using NOD32.....................this one is fast and accurate.........and it is cheap too............go to www.virusbtn.com and see the DETAIL tests of all antivirus softwares in the WORLD.\

while you are there, you see NOD32 passes all the test

Well all you do is look at one review and your convinced?

I think Norton is a great program..

Slow scanning? Maybe.. But its very accurate .. Narrow down and stuff..

It provides excellent service for an AV program.

That or McAfee.

OK, so someone has tryed Norton SystemWorks 2002 and it is XP Pro compatible? I have 2001 Systemworks and Internet Security but they're not XP Pro compatible :( so i'll have to find a new one.
