Guys,

Does anyone else use a battery backup UPS? I use an APC 650 thru a USP port and there seems to be a question about auxiliary power and my Antec PS USB ports. I'm trying to find any issues at Antec or at Asrock about auxiliary power USB without success.

Using XP Pro SP2. RT

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say.
You hook up a APC 650 UPS to your USB port, and what is the problem exactly?
What does it have to do with the Antec PSU and USB?
And what is "auxiliary power USB "?

Coolest,

This is my second Asrock Dual SATA2 board. Each apparently burned an IC circuit that may be for the USB. However, the purpose of that IC is still in question.

The Asrock manual states that "Power management for USB 2.0 works fine under Windows XP SP1." I have XP Pro SP2 and the Asrock manual was printed in 2005, well after SP2 was out.

My question is why is this warning printed in the first place? Does having XP SP2 make a difference? Asrock support is of no help and there is nothing on the Antec site related. Before I connect my APC UPS again I would like to find out if there are any issues that anyone has experienced here.

The auxiliary power USB is any of the USB ports you connect your battery backup UPS to. RT
