Think it is a free for all. I could use some help
Just tell me what I need to do, and I'm there!:)
I could pull the old gateway g6200 out of the closet, and my wife's compaq presario. A race to 500 could take years with this stuff!

You're on. So far I have signed up on it:
1x) Dual PPro 200mhz
2x) Dual PII 233mhz
2x) Dual PII 300mhz
2x) Pentium 233mhz
And what puzzles me the most is which one of those dogs is producing at 12 - 13hr averages. I haven't looked at the logs yet.

Any computer that you want to use for the group race (slow ones you don't want to use on your account, PII k6's ect) set up seti and use ocsetiteamgroup@hotmail.com as the user email address to join my slow a$$ computer team. All I have at the moment is a second seti running on my PIII 667 @ 700.
I have a Duron system just waiting to be hooked up again. Someone told me that you don't need a monitor to run SETI. If this is true, I'm set. If not? I'll get a monitor. It should be a good little cruncher. I had it overclocked to 1.075 before.

No you dont "Need" a monitor, for it to just sit there and crunch, but you wont be able to see anything.
unless it is on a lan then you could setup pcanywhare on it then connect to it with your main system and check it out.

In my seti farm I have 6 PC's running without a monitor. They are all on a network, and I use SetiPro to watch their status. Just boot up your system/s with a monitor attached, then once it is up and running, unplug the monitor and let the PC crunch away.
Thanks! That's what I'll do! Learn something new everyday!:)
