i have dual delta screamers, 2 80mm loudassess, and its all pretty loud. could there be any danger to my hearing? because my ears used to ring, even kind of hurt sometimes back when i first built this beast but now i dont get that anymore. about what decibal rating should you be concerned about?
If you're ears are hurting, I'd turn one of them off. I think you start to get hearing damage at 100 dBa, but I'm not sure. And those are like 62 each, so thats about 124 dbA.
get you some of those little foam earplugs! I can't hear high frequencies well any more. Too many Grand Funk concerts when I coming up.

If they do put out 62 dba, two of them will add up to 67 dba. Hardly dangerous. Yet, they are annoying little boogers, no doubt. If your ears are ringing, a visit to a hearing doc is a good idea.

Yeah, anything over 50db is a little annoying. You could do the 7Volt mod to quiet them down, but the trade off is that you don't get as much cooling/airflow.

I've always heard that hearing damage starts at 80 decibels. And that's really not very loud.
I just turn up my stereo and then I can't hear the fans!

Hey, go for it! I own stock in a hearing aid company. So, I say, turn it up!
