1, Can Intel's LAN card connect to cable modem?? ( I mean all)

2, Can 2x realtek lan card be used on the same PC without problem using WIn XP..

3, can I just connect 2 PC using cross over cable (Intel to Relatek1) and use Realtek 2 to connect onto a cable modem and so this will make a network + internet sharing

4, since is WinXP, do I need alternative progams like Sygate??

5, so does that mean this... (look at the pic

Unless you get multiple Ip addresses from your provider (extra $$$) you need a router.

I know that it's possible to make an old 486 into a router, so I imagine that you could do something similar with your comp, but I don't know how. What about internet connection sharing.

You can use ICS if you can get it to work. I didn't have much luck with it.

I've heard of people getting it to work without a hitch (I don't feel like getting two NICs), but hardware (router) is always more relialble than software (ICS).
