It's been quite a while since I last turned in a WU - haven't been folding for quite a while - and so I decided to give my 1.7 ghz centrino a little extra fun to work with.

Yeah, these current WU's are Killers!. That's why I built up a DC machine. - So I can get 2 WU's in that 3 months. :)

You just need to let it fold for about an hour to stablize then check the time it says. It just started working on it, let it figure out the real time.

EDIT: oops, I over looked you've had it going 14 days. :(

You seem to have a serious problem on that second log "FILE I/O error" is a bad thing!
Why are you running 2 instances on a Cenrtino? ... you should only have 1 since there is only 1 core and no HT.

Are both instances pointing at the same directory? that would probably explain the file I/O error since they would both be trying to read and write the same files :eek:

remove/stop one instance.

Restart the remaining instance ... if it doesn't get a new wu (current one should be corrupted) then just stop the instance, delete the work subdir and queue.dat file and restart it ... it will get a new WU and start folding.

Also, the deadline in th unitinfo.txt is when it must be turned in by ... It should not take that long to complete if the machine is on 724 ... should be less than a week depending on type of wu you get.

From what I read here, it looks like its stalled. I've restarted the service a few times, and the lappy likewise. Doesn't seem to budge at all despite going 24x7.

The FAHlog hasn't changed since the download of the WU, which indicates its stalled... strange how it can be hogging up CPU despite of that.

The fact that the log hasn't updated likely means it isn't being written to. Delete FAHlog.txt. If the client is working, it will create a new log. It it doesn't I would download a new client from stanford and overwrite the existing one.

I did that. How long should I wait for a new log file. I'm using the single click T32 install. How do I remove it? Is there an uninstall utility or should I manually hack through the registry and delete the keys?
