View Full Version : Whats THE BEST burn program?
What do you all think is the best program to run the CPU & 100&?
Wasn't there a quake 3 demo loop or somthing to test video?
Whats the best software cooling program, I tried Watterfall 1.23
but it does not support P3s or Athlons so it is of no use to me, if
there is a newer version that supports these CPUs...LET ME KNOW!
Also, please provide a link to the program, where I can
download it.

cpuburn (http://users.ev1.net/~redelm/) is THE program for load on the cpu, this baby makes my cpu 8C hotter than seti!

Toast is the ultimate stability test......5 minutes of Toast is like 24 hours of BurnIn
Link to Pinky's Yatta files and Toast (http://www.aoafiles.com/)
Well I have to vouge for "Toast" this burn in was able to get my temps 3C higher then anything else I've tried. Toast can be had here (http://www.aoafiles.com/) you'll need to look around a little. To test the systems stability you should be able to run Toast for atleat 10 min.

That IS a problem with Toast.... Seems like your system is frozen when it's just working REALLY hard...
Good thing they don't have an option for realtime priority
I can't say which gets me higher temps (cuz this darn HP mobo dosen't have a temp probe...), but my vote goes to Toast for "Most demanding program I've ever used". :)

Just tried toast, it sucks
cpuburn gave me more heat and I didn't even notice poor responsiveness at high priority, no locks after 10 mins of running either.
Hmm... There is a million more but I cannot recall the names,
what about them?
In my opinion Folding @ Home is the most interesting one.

I have seti but it doesn't generate anything like as much heat as toast or cpuburn.
