i don't think windows is all wheel drive. maybe it was scared that it would bog down if it tried to cross the connection. lol. i've never seen that one before either.

How many Directorys deep were you trying to copy the files?

C:\
SUB1
SUB2
SUB3
SUB4
SUB5
SUB6
SUB7
SUB8??????

If you were going to far into the sub directorys that could have been the cause

I've seen that error before.... Don't know for sure what it means (mabey a trip to MS website would help...), but from what it says, I guessed that it means that the destination directory is too far down the path. DOS has a limit on the number of subdirectories down in a directory, and I think Windows still has one (though probably a lot bigger).

Try moving them into just one directory instead of sub directorys.

What OS are you using?

If both OSes are Win2K, try mapping a drive on the source PC to where the files are located. Then try copying and pasting them over (or drag and drop) from the target PC.
