I will be building a system for a friend fairly soon that will be used primarily for Photoshop. I cannot, however, figure out what level vid card to go with. Obviously anything is better than most onboard video, but I'd like to know what is reccommended. How important are pixel pipes for this application? Should I go with a 7300 series (4 pipes) or a X1600Pro (12 pipes)? I'd obviously like to keep the price as reasonable as possible, so I've been trying to keep it under $80. Thanks in advance.

for around 80$ this is about as good as you can get.

Or if you wanted NVIDIA, this card (http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?scriteria=4139339) would probably be about the best NVIDIA "bang for the buck" at around $80.
OH, and by the way,
WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!

:welcome: (looks like its working fine for me, hafa :p)
I suggest the ATI card for the image quality.
