Well I've finally tested out overclocking my G2 ultra...

Its pretty sweet I cant believe I put this off for so long.

Ok the v/c runs @ 250/458 stock so I ended up setting the memory to 515 I'm using power strip so it either 515 or 530 and 530 is border line unstable. I was suprised to see a 200 point 3dmark01 inprovement from this small tweak (default 3d01 - 4610 @ 250/515 - 4810).

Then I went for the core overclock well I've heard you dont get as much gain when overclocking the core but I tried it anyway and...
@ 275/515 my 3dmark01 score went up to 4910. Then I tried 300/515 and it seemed stable there was no gleches or anything and the score went up to 5010! Well thats when I stopped its @ default again I will run some more benchmarks and make sure I will be stable and I will check some fps in a few games to see what kind of improvements I can get.

I got mine visiontek gf2 ultra to 310/515 completely stable with no artifacts in mark 2000 or mark 2001 highest score was just a little less thin 5000 but never recorded it

hey, I'm only running a at 1 gig in my system, and my card is not as good as a GTS (it might be I really don't know) But I got at least a score of 5200 last time I tested it.

There is no way a Geforce 2 MX 400 running at 1GHz could possibly get over 5000, probably not even over 4000 on a default 3D Mark 2001 benchmark.

I have a Geforce 2 Pro at 225/470 with a 1GHz O/C to 1.4GHz and my default scores are only about 4500 and that was also with some serious fan cooling at the time!

So I would say that he either ran it at the lowest possible resolution or he is using 3D Mark 2000.

why do you hate your card? It's a great card! Speaking of his mx400 score there's no way to get that with 3dMark2001 and default settings. If you look at madonion.com the highest registered is 4296 and that's with low z-buffer!

well I'll doubt check and get back to ya. I'm PRETTY sure it was 3dmark 2000 cuz in 2001 I usually don't score too well.

OH yeah I cranked up the FSB to 135. ( for all you that remember my bad time that I had with my hard drive crashing you probably wondering why I did this) Well I'm getting that Overclock itch again.

So I'll post after I test.

well I dont hate my card as much now but I get some bad fps in CS during smoke granades in opengl and d3d is **** in that game

all I need is a voodoo 5 pci for opengl and my gf2 ultra for d3d:D

put your pointer on the benchmark window and hit ALT/PRT Scrn open ms paint go to file /paste make sure its saved as jpeg...
