ENPC isnt selling these anymore, and i need to find one to upgrade my computer, i realized that getting a celly 900 or 1GHZ would not be much of an upgrade.....

You got quite a deal going on there. Not sure what you are really asking.

if you read my other post, im inheriting the BD133U, my dad is buying himself a TUSL2-C, and i am buying my self a PIII1GHZ, but i need to find the cDo stepping, because they overclock quite nicely....several people on these forums have gotten them past 1300....

I could have sold you mine, but alas, eBay got it :D

You'd have to call each seller and ask them to read the s-spec from the box and guarantee shipment of that exact item to be sure, IMHO.

after enpc sent me an email stating they would not be able to fill my order I went on a hunt for this cpu and found it at www.star-components.com.
I found them on price watch and then called them to see if they were selling cdo's from malay. The woman who I spoke to had no problem finding out if they were sl5vq stepping for me.
So here I sit at 1340 stable at 1.85.

Call em first to make sure! and let us know how it all turns out!

I've been wondering for two months now, what does IMHO mean?

In my humble Opinion...

do be afraid to ask, we all learn sometime (this secret internet code of crap :) ). I only learned this one a few months back myself, ROTFLMAO was the first to puzzle me...

I ordered 1 from them(star-components.com) about a month ago and had no problems with them except that they didn't send any notice when it actually shipped, but they did ship it promptly. BTW, any flip chip 1000E proc that you get will be an SL5QV cD0 stepping proc as it is the only 100 fsb flip chip 1000 proc that Intel has made, according to their S-spec sheet. The only problem I have right now with the proc is that I have to wait for Christmas to get my new motherboard, my wife won't let me have it yet.:( The reason I need a new motherboard is that this old BH6 board doesn't have a 1/4 pci divider and won't run reliably over 112 fsb due to the high pci bus speeds.

According to the Intel S-Spec chart (see below listed link) there are both a cC0 and a cD0 1000E P-III (100 FSB default). If it has 1.75v default listed on the chip, then it's a cD0 where as the 1.7v one will be a cC0.

Also, if you look at the S-Spec sheet it shows that the cC0 chip is in the SECC 2 form factor, which is slot 1. The only FCPGA 1000E proc is the SL5QV.

Hey Mud Doc, yep you're right. Gotta get new glasses or something (duh). So to recap, a P-III 1000E socket 370 CPU with a 100 FSB default WILL be a cD0.

Uh, maybe I need to read the chart more closely too :)

I just happen to own both a SL4KL slot 1 P3 1000E and a SL5QV flip chip 1000E. I'm going to put the flip chip into service aound Christmas when my wife lets me have the Soyo SY6BA+100 board that I bought for it. I guess that I'll be looking to sell the BH6 and slot 1 1000E then because it won't overclock as well as the cD0 stepping proc.:)

I didn;t bother to read anymore of this thread. Maybe I am getting cranky or something but you are now looking for a 1000MHz PIII for that BD133u. If memory serves me right they are about $50 more than a celery 1.2. Why not spend that $50 on getting the board RMA'd and then order a [leaves in bewilderment]celery 1.2????[/leaves in bewilderment]

yes but that 50$ is not being wasted in shipping if i get the PIII, also if i rmaed the BD133U, it still wouldnt work with a Celly1.2, if i returned it i wouldnt be able to upgrade my computer, sure my dad will get a nice celly 1.2 BUT ILL BE STUCK WITH A PIII800 for another year or so....im willing to spend 140$ to upgrade my computer as well....i need it....i want a cpu that will leave my totured geforce2 struggling to keep up....also if i keep a PIII and the BD133U eventually i will be able to upgrade to a Celly 1.4 when the PIII starts slowing down....

Okay man, good luck to ya. I would check pricewatch for your 1000e. Maybe you can get one that will do 1333 at close to default vcore cause you are not going above 1.825vcore with that board. Maybe you can but I doubt it cause of the vrm 8.5 setting. I know we all told you to get the BD133u and i am sorry for that. I think Iam going to stick with what I know anymore like the ST6 is the best for price/OC'ability. Stability too. I still think IWILL should give you a board that works though. I think they are pretty good with their RMA system. And also tell them before they send out your RMA to make sure it will work with a .13u chip. That is my advice.

Also sinc eyour dad didn;t take my advice and got the TUSL_2 you should really check the vtt voltage and if it is out of whack I would return it too. I have talked to 3 people now plus my own experience that have said the vtt/aux voltages are whacked and too high. I checked all my other boards and they are where they are supposed to be. 1.5v for cumines and 1.25 for .13u chips. Thes emay vary by like1.48~1.52v but that is it and my ST6 sometimes hits 1.26v. Definatly not ~1.7v.

yeah, the only problem is that Iwill never stated that it would work with the Celerons, ony the PIII Tualatins, so i think it might be the problem of trying to boot up with 133fsb at defualtvolts, but the BD133U is completly bios configuration and has maybe 2-3 jumpers on the whole board....oh well, thanks for all your help, and i will check out that voltage problem....

I got my 1000E from powerstartpc.com. It's a sl5qv from Costa Rica. So far, it's running at 1290 @ 1.85 Vcore.
