I've just switched back to iTunes after using many of the other "iTunes replacement" progs out there because none of them could get the videos right, and it's absolutely killing me. It won't do ANYTHING within a reasonable amount of time, i.e. start playing a selected song in under 3 seconds, scroll when I scroll the wheel, etc. I seriously have never seen anything use so much memory and lag so much since WMP got Urge added to it (if you don't know what I'm talking about, try playing a video when Urge updates the catalogue). In the time it took me to write that last sentence the whole pc has frozen up 6 times, not jumping, it's so bad even the songs stop playing. Why iTunes needs 120MB of memory adn 45% cpu to play a song I'll never know, but I need something that will stop the freezing. It's not the pc, theres no spyware, WMP plays everything fine, the only thing that won't work right is iTunes. I just downloaded v7 but I've been having this problem since v5-ish. I have noticed that it's worse with µtorrent, but I'm not sure why. It's only using <3% cpu max and 20MB (lots of files lol) but just having it running in the background not sharing increases the freezing. So who knows how to fix this or knows of something else (similar to MediaMonkey preferrably) that can actually put the videos on my ipod?
