I've got my 1ghz p3 running at 375mhz with a bus speed of 50mhz.

My abit slotket gives me voltages up to a ridiculous 3.5 volts.

So i was wondering, what is the highest i should take the voltage to for burning in?

I have a swiftech mcx370 as the heatsink.

thanks in advance for any advice.

Welcome to the forums :)

If I read the data sheets right the absolute maximum would be 2.1V, but if you don't wanna fry your CPU I would only go up to 1.95V or "maybe" 2.0V (I'm kinda nuts and pushed it up to 2.2V  NOT recommended, unless you're willing to take a risk).

BTW: Do I know you? your name sounds familiar......You live in the UK right?

I would keep it as cool as possible and the max I would push it too would be like ~2.1v but make sure the HS is attatched as this may be too much voltage for the thermal shutdown to kick in if your HS is not attatched real well.

thanks for the info, I'll probably just leave it at 1.95 volts then.

And yeah, I live in the UK.

I signed here about a week ago and signed a few times back on the old BB. I think my username of "Will Maltby" got banned 'cos I used the word "b*tch" though I'm not sure...
