Microsoft, I do lothe thee....

I decided to run some Windows Updates, since it's been a while. Among them, I ran the IE 5.01 and SP2 and the 5.5 and SP2 updates. Since running the 5.01, regardless of what I set my homepage as in the Internet Options, it takes me to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp. Anyone know how to stop this, since I don't want to go to the IE home page EVERY time I start IE?

Also, how can I get my IE windows to open maximized when I open them? They used to before the update, but no longer do. Any help?

To open maximized you can either set a new Icon and specify Run Maximized in the properties or you can close IE with:

Ctl- Alt- X

Where X is the X in the upper right hand corner. This is supposed to hold the open Window in the same size and position as the closed one was before the three finger close (Ctl-Alt-X).
