I have an Intel Pentium D 940 that does 4.0~4.2GHz on air.
I decided to watercool it and wanted to have an idea of what kind of
results I could expect.
This is the H20 cooling kit I plan on using:
- Swiftech MCP655 Pump
- Swiftech STORM rev.2 CPU Waterblock
- Black Ice Xtreme 2 BIX-2 Radiator + 2x 120mm 115cfm Panaflos
- 1/2" Clearflex tubing

4.3-4.5ghz would be my educated guess. What is your air cooling setup? and what are the temps?

It was a little a while ago but I remember correctly, it was iddling
around 45C and with Prime95, around 60C
The chip was overclocked to 4GHz and was cooled by a lapped
XP-90c with LGA775 adapter.
My 940 was one of the first available last winter, so if you have a later one, it might clock better. Mine will do up to 4.5 gig stable, although I typically run at 4.4 gig because I can back off the vcore a bit. See my siggy for specs.

Running my 930D at 4.5 @ 1.38V on water. I'm sure given the higher multi you could get to 4.5 no problem. I don't know what the upper limit would be though.

I am running a 950 on water and getting as high as 4.8Ghz but I run it all day every day at 4.6Ghz, I was getting 4.4Ghz on air with Artic Freezer Pro7 and running 4.2 all day every day.
My water cooling is cooling a hot X1900XT aswell though, but I do have the BIX 360 rad.

heres a shot at 4.6Ghz http://www.john-eva.co.uk/Images/Computer_pics/OC_Screenshot.jpg
