Okay i just got home and turned on my computer and there was this gay little monkey thing that popped up that my sister just installed after being in windows for about 5minutes explorer wouldnt' work and went nuts so i restarted and i find that my registry is screwed from here to the moon.. so i reinstall windows me in a different hard drive and pull the infected one.. now once i get into windows its flacky as all get out random crashes and what not doing normal stuff... i clocked my chip down to default but still doesn't help it what soever....

OK.. I'm a little confused..

So here's what happened.. You came back saw some monkey on there then Explorer went crazy and crashed and then the registry got owned..

And here is where I get confused... Did you swap the hard drive or install in another hard drive?

i hear ya demon...

i let my parents and my sisters use my comp...(i paid for cable access for the year....and of course all of the computer) and they really don't treat it well...not at all...

my sisters probably do more physical damage (keyboard pounding...clicking mouse so hard button breaks...) they also do minor annoying things like install screen savers and change the background pic or screw with volume settings...

but my dad...sigh....i know he means well but he always installs things like antivirus programs that are pieces of crap...that screw over my registry and drivers....i've even had to reformat and reinstall windows TWICE because of things he has done to my comp

i leave signs on the monitor saying not to touch.....that i'm stress testing the cpu....or installing an important piece of software....and i'll go into the "lock computer" view....but i guess that reads to both my father/sisters "PRESS THE REBOOT BUTTON AND SCREW IT UP"

its really awkward too...because i can't exactly tell my own father to get the hell off my comp and stop f-ing stuff up...even tho somethimes thats what i feel like saying....

erg...im sorry....its 5:30...haven't slept in a few days...and i felt like ranting...

well i pulled the hardrive that had windows on it out and installed on my storage hard drive.... then put my other hard drive back in to scan for viruses but norton and pc-cillin didn't come up with anything... but this installation of windows ME is really FLACKY i mean it may let me do something for 2hrs but then when i restart after something it might freeze on load.. and it don't matter overclocked or at defualt or lower than default.. i can't figure this out...

Did you try to do a system restore ????????If U did than
Why dont you do a reformat after u save the files you need.

Also WinMe needs the absolute correct drivers or it gets weird as hell.

I have at least 2 dozen systems out there with WinMe on them and thay all work perfectly,After I spent time on collecting the most up to date certified drivers.

Also In my own system before I installed 2000pro I had way better oc results on WinMe than I did on 98,or 98se.
