First time testing my vidoo card....is this a "descent" score?

Well i have been bitten by the oc bug and i wanted to benchmark my video card and let the 1month warranty run out b4 i started to oc it. I have an eVGA 7600GTS and scored a 12024....is this about what i shoud be running or is it low?

Yeah, that all depends on what benchmarking program you used.

That looks about right to me, I take it thats stock ie: no OCing on the card.

none at all. i am tweaking my cpu and memory first and then i will start dealing with the video card.

Just making sure.. You know to add "cool bits" so you can up your core and memory frequency

The only '7600GTS' I've ever heard of. Going for $110 after a small MIR, it looks like it's actually a full 7600GT :o Do you have any programs which show the architecture details like pipelines etc? You can use Everest Ultimate Edition free trial: http://www.lavalys.com/products/download.php?pid=3&lang=en Under Display->GPU it will show the details, pixel pipelines, TMU, clocks, vertex shaders, pixel shaders. I'm pretty curious to know what a 'GTS' is if you want to go through the trouble.

you got it....the gpu is a 7600gs but the ram is from a gt. That is the info that i have gotten from this site. it is 12 pipelines though

Hm wierd...what are the core and memory clocks? I did a quick look at an article and that's how the GS and GT are supposed to be separated - higher core clock (560 versus 400) and GDDR3@700MHz for the GT versus GDDR2@400MHz.
