View Full Version : cpu idle shows only running x8 instead of x16?

Is this normal for a 7950 gx2 to show this? Because its using 2 GPU's x8 each? I would think it would still show x16 lanes being used... See screenshot.

My Specs are in Sig.... Any idea's?

Edit: CPUZ not CPU idle.

This is normal. Each of the gpus is getting a x8 lane. so in essence it is x8 times 2

the m2n32 SLI is suppose to be true x16 and not share.. with 48 lanes total.

Anyhow. I figured it out. CPUZ is reporting it wrong. I checked the nvidia graphics driver and it shows x16. So i dunno. plus i just scored 8300 on 3dmarks 06 so i dont think its running @ x8.

honestly i think even if the card was running at PciE 8x it wouldnt be botlenecked.... considering there is absolutly NO improvement from an sli setup runing dual 8x lanes compared to dual 16x lanes.... it might get close consideirng its 2 cards on one 8x... but then again ya never kno.

It is not the motherboard it is the gpu, each gpu is using x8 of the x16 pcie slot. CPUZ is just reporting on one of the gpus. It is prolly just a slight bug in cpuz. But the PCIe slot is actually at x16 and the graphics card is using all of it. I've got the same thing.
