I have got an idea for some spare parts I have lying around. I don't want to go into all the details until I get closer to being finished. But I need to make a motherboard tray for this project.
My question is would it be easier to go with wood, like the flat computer project mentioned on the mod section of the front page? Or would it be simpler to get sheet metal and make a tray. I do have a dremel and maybe even some hole saws lying around. I would use studs and standoff either way, but which is the better choice for a tray? I don't have any old cases that would work, the only spares I have lying around are an old odd(the mobo was bigger than an ATX) compaq which I might be able to salvage for the sheet metal, but I would rather just buy some sheet metal if that is the better course.
Anyway once I get it finished it would be a folding box more than anything. But not a very powerful one. But every little bit helps.
