What do you think of these for a E6700??

Hey I was thinking about getting one of these 2 what is the difference between them??
I dont need the best of the best mobo but I dont want a peice of crap either.
I was thinking about getting the cheapest DDR2 pc6400 and overclocking to 3.2Ghz nothing more nothing less.

I would go with the first one.

DS3 has been getting great clocks for th price, just ask rainless. I would definately go with the ds3.

Neither have the ICH8R southbridge, no matrix raid

Rainless will be upgrading to a ICH8R SB board eventualy

P5B Deluxe, P5B Deluxe WiFi-AP, BIOSTAR TForce P965 Deluxe (if anyone could find the bloody thing in the US )..

But in all honesty.. you already got a E6700 you don't need steller FSB unless your going to invest in a custom phase change unit from jinu or something.

The Abit AB9 Pro can get 415 fsb with the new bios thats 4.15Ghz max. Soo unless you are willing to push well beyond most peoples limits on heat.. it would do fine and it has the ICH8R southbridge (mmmm matrix raid )
Did I mention that the Abit AB9 Pro is the cheapest matrix raid capable mobo that I know of? just did

I'd tell you to go with a 975X motherboard, but this one's cheaper and you'll need some extra money for 2 or 4 perp drives to go in your matrix raid array

Once the biostar shows up its going to be a killer deal. (it has benched to 500FSB on XS and the reviews have it priced in the $130's ) that will rock for E6300's and E6400's

A higher clocked E6400 (with the fourms help) and matrix raid will make the buddies E6600 system seem slow LOL

There is no way I am parting with my E6700 you will have to pry it from my cold dead hands. LOL!!
Yeah I know you guys all perfer the P5B Delux and the P5W DH and I would love to get my hands on one of them but at $250.00-$275.00 for a mobo is outrageous.
Heck I would even go Micro atx as long as its cheap and overclocks good and has pci-E 16 slot.
I say what ever mobo I end up getting needs pci and bus locks so I can overclock and not get errors or bad sectors.

The P5B-E does have the ICH8R.

But a good match for your E6700, since you are not going to part with it, would be the Abit AB9 pro, It also has the ICH8R; and its cheaper right now.

m-ATX mobo's are not going to overclock like full ATX boards at all though. And none of the C2D ones have matrix raid from what I can tell, I'd get that idea out of my head

WOW.. I am not into biostar at all yuckity yuck yuck!!
But man it looks like they have made some real improvements since the nf3 and nf4 days.
I think I may just give them another go-round.
I really love the way that mobo looks with the blue and neon green .
It will match my neon green ram sinks and case fans.
We have a winner thats the one I am getting no matter what..

I am so excited to get that mobo now damn I wish I looked at that link earlier.
The only thing is I think I may have to upgrade the chipset cooling to something with a nice copper sink and fan combo.

Its been reviewed in russia and being sold in Finnland right now.
It might take a search on xtreamsystems to find when it will be sold over here. (you might find the threads were they benched the thing)

I was just letting you know you dont need that much FSB for the chip you picked.

the E6600 or the E6400 would do fine in the bio-star
The E6700 really only needs mid to low 400'sFSB for normal cooling
