What's up with TigerDirect?

I built my first computer ordering almost everything with TigerDirect. I thought they were an ok place until I ordered a hs&f from them
in their catalog they said it could support Socket A up to 1GHz
so I put in a 1 Ghz T-bird and the puter wouldnt boot up and after a month or so I got frustrated and just to my puter to MiComp
They said the hs&f was too small and the cpu burned in just 1 sec
They wouldnt even let me return the cpu
did you guys have any experiences with TigerDirect
Should I ever order from them again?

I've ordered from them a couple of times with no problems, and receive their catalog. They may have had some liability with regard to the burned CPU, but I doubt that would have extended over a month.

Personally, I would've checked the HSF specs somewhere besides the vendor. I'm sure they mean well by posting specs, but it's up to us to put the right equipment together when we self-build.
