this weekend, best buy had an add selling a 60GB Western Digital hard drive for $49.99! The next day, I get to the store at 9:00 and THEY WERE GONE! they sold out in an hour. the next order for them would be in when the sale was over. i just missed the opprotunity of a lifetime!

HA HA

They got ya again!

Ever wonder how many of them they actually had for the sale?
Ever wonder if they had any at all?

They bait people that way all the time, just to get you in the door!

I must confess it has happen to me. Not there but a few other places.

My answer, they have never gotten the chance to sell me another thing. Period!!

:D

Just 5400, but **** I was gonna set up a 300 gig (5 60 gig drivs) raid array. and then 5400 wouldnt matter it would be so fast. *******s, I wanted 5 of them and had 5 people going cuz of the 1 per customer thing. Oh well next time.

They were 5400RPM($150-$50 instant- $50 MIR), so it was a decent deal if you can handle the MIR, but not a "deal of a lifetime" if you ask me.

Here is a link to the ad page:

bait and switch - I hate that!!

plus ever notice the really cool cd's - they say 15.99 but ring up 12.99 or 11.99 - they almost never have the correct price on their cds!!! so you really never knwo what it truly is!

I bought all the items ahead of time and price match it is the deal whor3 way and better than wasting a trip. try going to fatwallet.com next time and downloading the adds before they are in the paper that way u can buy it before the llamas all learn about the deals.

Ain't it grand?
I didn't know about this sort of thing before reading this thread, but the fact that they sold out in less than an hour raised my suspicions. I don't think that there are that many people in most places that a would be so eager and knowledgable that Best Buy would run out after a mere hour. Sounds like good old honest American cheating to me.
Just make sure that you go to pricewatch before you buy anything in the future. Also, never trust places that sell computers and appliances.
