What are you looking to spend on a video card? Both cards linked are horribly priced.

However to answer your question a 6800gs is better than a x1600xt, but at those prices neither is worth it.

I'm looking to spend about $150 max on a video card. That 6800GS is what I'm using currently, AGP, got it about 6 months back

150 has become an odd amount to spend on a video card most cards are in the low 100's or around 200; that have the best price/performance ratio cards that is. Have you considered selling your 6800gs, you should be able to get at least 100 for it, and then spending more like 200 on a x1800gto2 or a 7900gs? Otherwise you should get a x850xt or 7600gt for more in the 110 range. Again for 150 you wont get much more performance then you would with a 110 dollar card, as there is currently a price gap around in this range by both ATi and nVidia.

Is your current 6800gs unlocked to 16 pipes? If so it's pretty good as far as AGP goes, the x1600 you linked isn't even AGP. The only 'better' options than an unlocked 6800gs for AGP are the Leadtek 7600GT AGP - which isn't *that* much better than an unlocked and oc'd 6800gs - or a refurbed eVGA 7800gs for $200, new 7800gs go for ~$300 last I checked.

Buying for AGP is tough now, especially since you already have what could be a near-top card in your 6800gs. Try getting as much as you can out of your current 6800gs by unlocking and oc'ing it first.

I'm upgrading my computer completely, probably should've mentioned that. Hence why I linked a PCI-E card

Oh. Well in that case there's no point even considering a 6800gs, you can get a 7600GT for much less. In the ~$140-150 range the 7600GT is the best card. There's also a deal on a BFG 7600GT at newegg bringing it to $120 shipped after MIR. It's all about your budget, given that you linked a $150ish PCI card I figure that's what you're looking for. If you can go up to ~$200 the 7900gs is a good jump in performance, and there's supposed to be an x1950Pro (a cut-down 3/4 pipleline version of the x1950xtx) coming soon to replace the short-lives x1900GT in the same $200 range.
