why not? it should only give you 1.65v as read in windows, probably close to 1.63v real as read by a dmm.
if i had phase, i would not hesitate to use up to 1.7v read with a dmm. this of course would require some mods. ;)

X2 Wattz.
The P5B undervolts like a mofo. With a 1.7 selection in the bios I get an actual of 1.625 that droops to 1.57 under load. You should be absolutely fine with a 1.7 selection. Just check hardware monitor before booting up XP.

Looking good WaTTz! Can you run that TeamGroup @1:1 with those timings? So far I'm running my E6600 @3.2GHz TeamGroup memory @1:1 3-3-3-8 timings, so far It's 2-1/2 hours orthos stable.

Thats weird before any mods my P5B-D did 1.64v and drooped to 1.62vcore. I heard it depends on how you have your mosfets cooled.

WOW was i close, purely a guess too!
Ya, 1.7v on air isnt going to happen :p
Just got core temp installed, and with my xp-90c its giving me a 75c load @ 3ghz w/ 1.4v
1.65v @ 3600mhz + = askin for trouble.
Once I get some neoprone, Ill have no hesitation :D
This RAM aint to bad, just wish I had bought 2 x 1g sticks instead :(

Good results so far. Make sure to get in cooler ambients, that's when you go for 1.65v ;). My temps were 47c idle / 65c load @ 1.65v w/ 59f ambients blowing into my case.

If can't really wait, you could always take the computer outside in the dead of the night when it is cool and let her rip there. :D
Nice results though, can't wait to see you push it farther.

How are you running the 2:3 divider on the P5W??? I have problems (random no POST) just running mine at a 4:5 and can't get squat at 2:3. I am DYING to stetch out the legs on my HZ's.....

Aren't you worried racoons will come and chew your wires?
59F - isn't that like winter to you Californians? How can you sit in that?

Not to thread jack, but 59f is "In the middle". It usually gets into the 30s / 40s at night (During winter) but lately, 59f is the coolest I've seen it :(. This isn't my 24/7 setup, only benching. I'm not worried about small animals chewing up my wires, any human / animal should be intimidated by the 141CFM EFB1212SHEs LOL :D.

Probably 1.65v actual, still pretty warm though :D. Was 90c through SPI1m? If so, TONE IT DOWN A BIT, IT'S STILL AN ES LOL.
Minor update :D

It will do more with better mounting no doubt, you can't really get any decent pressure with zip ties. Good job on the temp mount!
