Putting together my new system (P5B Dlx, e6600) last night I realised that my old psu only has the 20pin atx mobo connector. It's an Antec Truepower 430. Can I simply use a 20-24pin adapter safely?

I've made a scout run to the nearby Frys in case I need a new psu. Recommendations appreciated!

Here are the options:

Antec 550 Truepower TRIO 550w - $120
Antec NeoHE 500w - $110
Coolermaster Extreme Power 600w - $90
Thermaltake Purepower 500w - $70

I'll be running a XFX 7950GT, two sata drives, 1 dvd-r and doing some conservative overclocking (hopefully).

Thanks,
Mitch

Yea, it will be cheaper to use the 20-24 pin connector. But if you just want an excuse to get a new PSU go that route. If the PSU is gonna be your choice the TP Trio and Coolermaster both have 18A on the 12v. then the NeoHE, and last is the purepower. So I would go with either the TP Trio or the Coolermaster depending on what folk's views are on coolermasters., or if you wanted to use the connector and order one someone can give you a nice recomdenation here.
