Hello,
I am new to the OC game and I just played the connect the dots game on my XP 1900 on top of a shuttle AK31 ver 3.1
I think the connect the dots went well but upon bootup it told me XP 1700 :-( So I jumped into the bios and selected X13 multi and then it told me XP 1900.. OK so What do I need to change?
Cpu core voltage and etc?

I had the same problem, same mobo and same processor, shows 1700 still. What do we need to do to fix this?

Dunno, wish I knew.
Were you able to change any freqs in the bios?

Hey! I have the same mobo only a 1800xp. I unlocked it, but when I boot it up, it reads 1600xp. I oc'd it to 1.57 GHz (11.5 * 137) and now it reads 1900xp. I don't know whats up. I have gotten it up to 1.68 GHz and then it doesn't even give me an xp number, it just states the GHz.?!

The reason why it show the ghz instead of the no, is because your board doesn't support it up to that speed as its not even out yet! (2000+) so it displays the frequency, try a bios update.

If you did the bridges wrong (which is quite easy to do w/o some practice) then the problem is shorting out and a 1900+ would read as 1700+, so the default multiplier has been moved from 12x to 11x. The same thing will happen with an 1800+ and it will change to a default of 11x rather than 11.5x.

The only increase I could gain was 20 mhz, so I agree.. I must have screwed up the bridges.
I ripped out the cpu and scraped off the defog paint. Looked so smooth though, I used tape between all of them but I did notice that there was quite a crater between the second one away from the L! @ the corner. Maybe I did not get enough S glue in it??
Oh well,, 1600 mhz ought to be ok for now..
Thankx for all the input..
AMD 's the one !!

1900 is 1.6 is stupid how they add 100 to the no and only 67 mhz or around that...

After trying to OC my cpu and trying to install WIndows Me and Linux Mandrake 8.1 on this PC. I found out that the extra sticks of RAM were NOT the same as the original ones I purchased. :-((
While trying to install Micro _ _ _ _ , I had so many blue screens of death, and Linux said, " Memory Not Found? " and it would lock up and not reboot. I thought I had toasted the cpu !
Even though the Seller argued that they were the same, Normal, Right ?
I can now overclock my Ram speed. Before if I changed anything, I would have to short the bios jumper to reinstall the defaults cause it would not boot !
This may have been a factor in the connect the dots game....
Oh well, maybe I'll try again.
Thanks for all the input.
David

1333 mhz = 1500+
1400 mhz = 1600+
1466 mhz = 1700+
1533 mhz = 1800+
1600 mhz = 1900+ so I estimate that
1666 mhz ~ 2000+
1733 mhz ~ 2100+
1800 mhz ~ 2200+
1866 mhz ~ 2300+
1933 mhz ~ 2400+
and therefore 2ghz ~ 2500+

There system is stupid, I mean they add 66mhz and 100 to the number, so eventually it will be a 245600+ with only a 5000 CPU!!!

I wanna Hammer, 2.5ghz in March I think....
