Who was your core team in ff7?

Who was your core team in ff7? by core team i mean what was the 3 party members you played with the most and y?

I always played with Cloud, Barrett, and X13/Red 13 (I forgot the tigerlike dog name, i haven't played in years lol)

They were my favorite/strongest team imo.

Who was yours?

Tifa was hot but she never warranted a excuse to remove one of my core members. especially during hard fights such as the underwater machines and sepiroth

Cloud, Barret, Vincent. Once Vincent went into beast mode, he was unstoppable. Barret's ?Mind-Breaker? limit break was awesome to use against bosses to drain them of Mana Points.

And cloud... just cause he was cloud..... and we all had mancrushes on him when we were growing up.... (and felt his pain and cried with Aerith/Aeris died)

I hated aeris. She tried to steal cloud away from tifa. TIFA >AERIS imo


and cloud was the best. Whats better than omni slash?

I had Cloud, Cid and Red XIII. i still remember getting owned by the tonberry in the last level, then leveling up like crazy following the strat guide, getting two mimes, 4x cut, knights, and then kicking the crap out of sephiroth and feeling dissapointed :( :D

ya after having 3 sets of master materia, master summon, and master skill or whatever it was called things did seam a bit easy.

Yes i agree, i hate aeris. I killed her when she was forced to join my party and she laid there dead until she "died" ingame.

Mine was cloud, Red, and i'm not sure... lol.

* at high levels his limit break actually made him worse no matter what form you used.
` her limit break was the best if you knew how to do it.

I would switch nanaki in if I got anoyed with vincent's horrible limit break.

I only used Cait Sith once and his limit break killed me so I dont know if he was good or not in the long run.

Also I had all of the limit breaks for everone except cait sith and aeris so I am not just commenting on the starting limit breaks.

Aeris last one was neat, but not worth the trouble. That game was not hard enough to justify super healing and status cleansing. Yes Vincents limit sucked end game, he was unstoppable, and that sucked, couldn't stop to heal or use an item etc.

mine was Cloud Cid and Yuffie, they kicked butt, Cid hid the highwind limit breaker which was devastating, but for Yuffie i think i was using her second last limit breaker which hit multiple times instead of once.
Yuffie could also do normal damage versus ruby weapon which was pretty useful when i didn't have Knights of the Round to throw at him.

Considering the fact that you couldn't remove Cloud through mostly the entire game until he went missing into the Life stream mine would have to be Cloud, Vincent & Barret. Cloud with his Ominislash, Vincent for his beast forms and the amount of damaged he dealt providing the enemy wasn't immune to that beast.

And Barret Ugramax and Satellite beam was awesome you have 2 limit's that could kill an entire party or deal damage on a massive scale on 1 boss.

Cloud, Cid, and Barret. Cloud and Cid had the best limits, and Barret had an alright limit. Seems people might have underestimated Cid's Final Limit. Everything was usually dead before Barret got around to fighting anyways. I spent way too much time on that game, and had max stats on all 3 characters, w/ 4x Cut, etc. Emerald Weapon was easy after that :P
