1) I’m looking for a stable conroe mobo for the E6600 that will overclock like no other on air w/a Thermalright Ultra-120

2) I DONT plan on doing SLI or CF.

Right now is the P5B Deluxe just as good as any other mobo? My other considerations are the DQ6, DS3, P5W DH and AW9D-MAX.

Now with your recommendation, what ram should I use for this combo (E6600 + MOBO)? My RAM budget is under $300. $250 or less would be kick ***.

Here are some sticks that I found that users of the board also have. I just don’t know if they have any compatibility issues or not. Or is there is something better to choose.

BTW... would there be any point in me holding off for a better selection of motherboards, until they mature a little more?

Thanks!

The teamgroup and the corsair is a tossup as far as binning, they both binn harder then any other company that I know of so Id get whatever was cheaper.

As far as wich mobo would be best for a E6600, that would depend on how hard your willing to push it 24/7.
To be honest, the best 975X motherboards now, your not going to be able to run there top FSB 24/7 with air unless your going to be running nearly max Vcore in the bios and have your computer in a freezer :p
And I honestly think they would have more headroom even at that point.

Right now if I had settled on a E6600 and air, I would get one of the top three 975X mobos.
Abit max or fatality or the Asus 64-WS-Pro.

i havent seen any one with a abit max but i hear its designed for overclocking as its primary feature, any reviews?
