~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When did you join the Team? Approximate date is ok if you don't know the specific date.
April 2004
If there was something recent that you did that you wanted your fellow team members to know about, what would it be?
Nothing real special happening right now. The latest fun thing I did was go to the BMW Motorcycle
Owners of America international rally in Vermont. There were thousands of bikes and I had a great time camping out
even though it poured.
What is your EOC (extremeoverclockers) stats link?
EOC (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=83595)
You do not have to give specifics (address), but what State do you live in, and if you don't mind telling, what town? (town is not required, but if not a town, a general direction and distance from the nearest 'big town/city' would suffice)
I live in New London, New Hampshire. When I'm at school i'm in Durham, NH.
How did you initially hear about F@H?
On the forum. I built my first computer at the beginning of April 2004 and I came across OCForums a lot while looking for help. After seeing it in profiles I decided to check it out.
After starting, why do you continue to Fold?
For OCForums, it's the best place on the internet. Also for "the cure." I hope all of our simulations help the researchers cure diseases. I also enjoy the stats.
What do you do for a living?
Right now i'm a cut-off machinist at Sturm & Ruger (Pine Tree Castings). They are a major firearms manufacturer and also make many commercial parts. In the fall I'll be back at school at the University of New Hampshire studying geography.
What do you do for fun?
Play video games, ride my dad's BMW F650 GS, try to get some exercise, detail my car and the motorcycle, watch some anime, watch some star trek...
Time to spill your guts. What are the stats of your main folding rig? Why is it your fave? What all do you use the rig for?
My main folding rig uses an Asus P5W DH Deluxe, a Conroe E6600 ES (Thermalright Ultra 120 on it), 2GB of Mushkin 5300, Seasonic S-12, ATI X800 Pro (VF-900CU on it) and a 36GB Raptor. I use it just to browse the net, fold and play games. I have one other computer which I use for TV, school work, music and the net.
Do you have a Borg-Farm? If so, how many computers, and what are they? (CPU, RAM)
Nope, just don't have enough cash. Someday, though :thup:
What are your future goals? What do you most want to accomplish with your life?
I want to be happy, I want a decent job and good health. I don't want to save the world or anything, just enjoy myself and try to be a good human being.
If there is something you want to tell the team, then spill your guts! What have I missed in my questions that could help the team learn more about you and who you are?
I play CS:S quite a bit, if you want to catch me in a server check out the lanfusion and iu e5 servers. Or just add me to your friends list in steam, my screen name is "veryhumid." Let's see... I love trance music and drum 'n' bass, my favorite movie is La Femme Nikita or The Fifth Element depending on my mood. Also I absolutely love Team 32. I will never stop folding for this team no matter where we are in the rankings, I love our members and folding makes me feel like i'm getting more value out of my expensive computer hardware.
Also I want to thank forum member "Rev," my friend Nate for folding with me. He has his comps not folding because of the heat, but he has folded many work units for me. Thanks!
I think many of you have seen this, but here is the first (and only, so far) webpage I ever made. It was for an intro to computer science class. I haven't had enough time to work on it more, and I feel the FAQ in the forum is all the resource people need to get started.
Great to meet you some more VH :)
I kinda miss my biking days ... back then, other than the harleys, the biggest bikes were 750's. It is tempting at times when i see all the guys my age finnally getting that harley they never had when they were young like you ...
... but then i watch all the idiot drivers (immigrants mostly) we seem to have so many more of now in toronto ... people that didn't learn to drive until late in life ... and i don't think they actually did LEARN!! /end rant
NH is beautiful country to bike in ... away from the cities. Ontario is great too once you get 100 miles north of Toronto.
Good luck with school, and biking, and life :thup:
And of course, Fold On!
Thx for the heads up. I actually sold that rig to be able to have a laptop for school, though. The antec fan had the bearings that died?
hey pscout, always good to hear from you. I hope to get up to Canada this summer if I have some free time. I'll let you know.
<3 T32 I LOVE YOU!!! <3
Yeah, the one that was on the XP-120... came as an exhaust fan on that case. I actually have two of those cases and one of those fans is still running fine... no problems (~1 year old). So I may have just gotten a bad one to begin with.
